We're at Silver Springs SP campground. It's just up the road a mile from Silver Springs attraction in Ocala, Fl. For $50 you get a year long pass to the park with amusements, boat rides and concerts all year long. We just saw REO Speedwagon and are coming back for Glenn Campbell, Styx, Blue Oyster Cult, and Travis Tritt. There are a lot more concerts, but those are the ones we are aiming at. All for $50!!

It's amazing that Kevin Cronin, the lead singer, is 60 years old. He sounds like he's in his 20s and is in great shape.

Looks like a great time. And such a deal. We'll certainly have to look into that once we get down there.

You're just down the road from me (well, about 70 miles). Haven't been to SS in years.

Danny,

Silver River State Park is right next to Silver Springs. $24 night. On par with Hillsborough, but way bigger sites than any Florida SP campground we've seen yet. Bike trails, museum, nice bath houses, hiking trails and, of course, about a mile to Silver Springs with all the cool stuff going on there.

It's about 6 miles off 75, real easy to get to. We arrived yesterday, the day of the concert, and we parked down at Silver Springs. That works out well as the veteran concert goers told us to get there early, go into the park, set up your chairs, then go back out and tailgate until near show time. Then you have awesome seats.

I think it's April 14, fly your plane down and stay with us.

Here's a link to Silver Springs. They filmed Tarzan and Creature from the Black Lagoon here as well as many other TV shows and films.

Pets are allowed everywhere, but the cabins I'm pretty sure. That's the campground, no pets in Silver Springs attractions.
