Danny, too short for sure! Didn't get a chance to post it yet. Ed and Deb were thinking the weekend of Feb 26-28, see if you can make it! We had a great visit with Danny and Suzy (as always) Arrived Wed PM, went out for dinner, a fine evening. We left Thursday about 11AM a short drive and we were here at Oakhaven RV Park, near Lettuce Lake. At the park across the street we have neighbors from Kalkaska we will visit. There was a carnival tent party at the park today. Bunch of crazy old people having a good time. Scary Clowns! Next Thurs and Fri we're at Ortona Locks, then Sat, Sun and Mon (Feb 26-28) at Meadowlark, a park near Moore Haven. We are looking forward to seeing Deb and Ed there. Always a good time. From there it will be March in the Keys and the end of the escape from winter! 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

Danny: That sounds great. If you want to stay here at the house with us that's great. Steve and Liz are a golf cart away. Ed.

Steve, glad you sucked all this cold air south and left a hole for the warm air to make it north. 70 deg. and sunny here today. Enjoy your March in the Keys. Hoping spring will break early this year. The tornado that went through Pt Charlotte (Deep Creek) on Wed missed us by about 4 miles. About 2 inches of rain, no leaks or problems. We were out near Ft Meyers when it went through! We just saw heavy rain for a short time. Other than that, warm and sunny every day. Short drive from Oakhaven to Ortona Locks South for Thus and Fri, then across the river to Meadowlark RV park. Deb and Ed live right near by, we're looking forward to another great weekend with Barth friends. Nice big sites, right along the river. Caught a boat upbound through the lock. Hoping to see Danny and Suzy again this weekend! 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

Arrived yesterday at Meadowlark park. Spent time with Ed and Deb, also Danny and Suzy, who drove here from Venice to join us. Another fine visit with our good Barth friends. The park is just around the corner from the locks but it is 21 miles by road! There is a canal along side the park that leads to a marina. Leaving Tues for the Keys, final leg on our escape from the Michigan winter. A wonderful time with sunshine and warm weather, a great way to enjoy our coach. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

A fine weekend at Deb and Ed's. We got to walk out on the locks and see how they operated. I think Ed and Deb know every person in the Ortona area! Thanks for everything. 79 Barth Classic

We made it to mile 39 on Highway 1. Sunshine Key Resort! Last stop on our escape from winter. Screen room is up and we are settled in. We are on the north side of the island, about 11 o'clock. At the north end of the beach. About 1850 miles from Kalkaska, never touched a thing on Barth, used less than 1 qt oil. I guess I fixed that main seal leak… Ran well, best mpg ever, between 7-7.5 the whole way, up from the previous 6-6.5 We now have over 35,000 miles since we got 86Barth in 2011. Sunshine, 75-80 degrees, light winds, beautiful. Life is good. We're on Key time. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

Good morning Steve, Looks and sounds like you are having a great run and relaxing trip! On of these winters I will get down to the Keys. When do you plan to get back up North? I have had an event cancel in May so I may have the time to get over to see my brother at Milford MI. Might take the Northern route back. Will advise later. Steve I have been silent because Green (Envy) doesn't type out well. Even though it has been fairly snowless Minnesnota winter. Hopefully I get some time off soon. Don't get in a hurry to get back. You know we are bound to get payback from old man winter You are welcome anytime if you get our way. Ed if your making a midwest run or any of our other extended Barth brothers and sisters are welcome to stop by anytime. I have a 2nd 50 amp.
