Have returned from Ely thru LV and LA. The NORC went OK but a friend rolled his Winston Cup Monte Carlo at something like 200+ MPH. He got caught in crap left on the roadway by the other unlimited car a '96 Camaro. The Camaro blew a tire at 200+ MPH and took some of the bumper, left rear quarter panel with it and left it in the road. Here is a link to some of the pictures, more will be up later. Check out picture 101, look at the rear wheel! NORC The Camero continued on ( against the rules and was DQ'd) 10 miles to the finish. I don't know how he could run 180+ for 10 miles on three wheels. The Cup car went thru the debris field and lost a tire 5 mile later, about 5 miles from the finish. Real shame because the Cup car could have been over 200 average for the entire 90 miles. Only 1 other car has done that in 22 years. The Barth ran fine, TPS issues solved, temperature issues solved, I have all the propane generator issue sorted out (main power switch was defective), averaged 10.4 MPG for the entire trip. No more races this summer (economic conditions) until August then it is off to NE for the SORC. I'm familiar with the SORC area - when I go to the Nebraska Star Party, I take SR 2 from Grand Island through Dunning to US 83 at Thedford.
