Jim & I may be driving the Breakaway home together rather than our son in law. We would be driving from Allentown,PA to Madisonville,TN date unknown yet. Anyone out there on the hwy route we would be taking to get to TN if we need some help along the way?? Before the 17th of July. I81-to I40 once we get to 40 we'll be ok since that is so close to home.

We'll be driving US 22 from Allentown to Harrisburg. Not the best of roads, but at least it's 4 lanes. Going to start now to pray for cooler weather. Probably try to drive in cool of the morning and the cool of the evening, but not at a time when headlights are required. Maybe 5AM to 12Noon and 6PM to 8:30 PM.

US 22 IS I-78 - take it to I-81 at Harrisburg.

Dixie Caverns Campground at Exit 132 in VA is nice -but rustic, even quaint. I frequently stay at Ft. Chiswell RV Park (Exit 80). I like to stay at campgrounds at least a mile from the exit,so the engine will be warm before I have to merge onto the freeway
