All our reservations are set, just about done getting caught up on maint. on our Barth (still hoping to change points and retime the generator, haven't figured out yet how to check and add air to the inner rear tires with our Alcoa rims without taking them off and still figuring out where 4 pairs of skis and a surfboard will go as i don't want 'em on the roof in the heat of the south west summers. Daughter and I will head south from PA in 20 days to Florida then west down to Big Bend then dot our way across the SW til LA, up to Big Sur, West to do some skiing in the Sierras then North to her ski race camp at Mt Hood in July then up to Glacier before dotting our way south and east. Expecting around 18k of miles on the RV and our toad (a 13 Triumph Tiger 800) with a return to PA around August 1st. This weekend will be a run down Ocean City Maryland as a shake down run to make sure the Chinese bike hitch carrier is gonna hold our toad over the long haul.

Sounds like a great trip coming up.

Suggestion: On the way back why not tour Little Big Horn in southern Montana, go south to the Custer City area of SD to tour the Badlands, then head for the U.P of Michigan and come across the Mackinac bridge. It's beautiful. Then you can let us trolls (Michiganders who live under the bridge)know and we can meet up with you as you go down through the Lower.

Wishing you safe journeys,

Lou

Yeah, saw that slide, we are actually staying just south of Big Sur in a state park as I couldn't find any availablity in there. Will have to dismount the Tiger and ride thru that slide if we want to go north at all Smiler Of course none of the reports I saw on the slide have exactly where it was.

Yes after Glacier we are heading south along the salmon river in Idaho to the moon and then to Jackson (no interest in Yellowstone as I was in Zion a few years back and couldn't stand the traffic that would just stop right in the middle of the road to get out and take pics). From there we are heading to Moab then east to Rocky Mountain NP then into eastern Wyoming to the Black Hills/ Badlands area before heading east. Nothing planned beyond SD. The UP is a bit far as my wife will be with us and needs to be back by August 1st. I was up there last summer riding the trails on my Tiger and I don't think my 12 year old would enjoy it all that much. Probably just go thru Minn and Wisco then a Northern route to avoid as many tolls as possible. The PA Turnkpke is insane now!!
