This is a 1995 Barth Regal 31 Motor Home. Engine 2003 model year 550 Duramax 6.5L was replaced in 2003 but has a cracked head. Estimate to replace engine with a re-build 6500.00 complete. Excellent condition otherwise...

There has been much discussion on the coach.

Don't know how to do the 'linkie' thing but just do a search for 'duramax' and you'll come up with a discussion that started in January, 2013.
The cost of a new Duramax would be one heck of a lot more than $6500. I have the invoices that the original owner paid when he had the Duramax installed in 2002. It was over $17000. The original engine was a 6.5 GM diesel. When it was at the dealer in January, 2013, they were asking $27000. I offered 10K because I knew all the problems and am glad that I didn't get it. Doorman actually looked at it and he can tell more about the interior, etc.

In either case the idea is quite staggering.
