Could be entered in the overhang hall of fame, or is it shame? Been so long since entries I can't remember.

The early tag axle units were rare and used the Neway TA-3 tag axles (16 inch wheels) on custom rear frame extensions. The frames were shorter and lower with lower floors. They had shorter basement compartments.

The later tag coaches had rear frame extensions with 8" full length frame rails on top. They used the heavier Neway TA-5 axles. (19.5 inch wheels) They had longer wheelbase, higher floors and taller basement compartments. The extra 8 inches left more room underneath to work under, as I was pleased to discover on my 86 Regal SE 33.

It maybe picture foreshortening but drive to steering looks nearly the same or less than tag to bussel.
