Right on, but I'd have to become an Alabama fan. I think we've seen this before, but I can't remember when or where. Let's see, $47900 must be a misprint. It surely is $4790 or maybe $7900 or wait, wait don't tell, I'm dreaming Jim

I had thought that part of the charm of a Barth was that it wasn't one of those mega-mansions on wheels...you know, a cool thing but still kind of basic and sane, and modestly priced. Okay, this is still reasonable by some standards, costing no moare than a new Lexus...

You can ask anything, but it is only worth what someone will pay. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

It is similar but nicer and better equipped than ours. It's not a Monarch. It's probably a 38' or so. So kinda big but I would like the aluminum wheels and the diesel gen set. In my opinion you can't beat the Cummins 8.3 and the Allison 3060 transmission on a Spartan chassis. Do you think it's been repainted?

It's one of this mixed-geneology coaches. It has a Breakaway-style center console. There have been a couple of "Breakaways" with 8.3s. It could also be a Regency, Monarch, or even a Sovereign; I would guess it at 34'. 'Worth' is an elusive, hard to determine thing. Looking at what you would get in this beautiful Barth, one would think it's worth every penny. Just think of the brand new 'stick and staple' rvs you could buy at double the cost. Their quality isn't even in the same universe. Would I pay $47K for this coach? No, but it's because I don't have $47K to pay for ANY motor home. If I said,"My budget is $45K to $50K for a motor home", then this one would certainly be on the list. Sort of like my '81 Volvo 245 with 280K on the odometer vs my '96 Cavalier with 98K on the odometer. Which is the 'better car'? The Volvo, hands down. Always was, always will be.

Probably 45K for a redone RV is an odd amount. Those folks who have that to spend would likely spend twice that on a brand new one, albeit not of the same quality in the end. Another way of saying there are few customers for '81 245s (I have an '84, have owned a '75 and 120 wagon). This has nothing to do with the impressive Barth so much as "price points" of disposable income.

This Barth has been on the market for several years. The first time I saw it, it was priced @ $49000 and change. Hang in there Jim the price is coming down. They were also offering to finance the right person. Joel Taylor

You have to admit it is set up nicely. Possibly the only expense after purchase would be to remove the Alabama Fan stuff. Joel Taylor

For the right price, I'd become an Alabama fan
