Price: US $18,200.00 ....a true classic - a 1973 Barth "Bustle Back" motorhome. These aluminum body coaches have a unique style all their own. We have lovingly restored this vintage Barth over the course of 15 years. Almost everything has been refurbished. It's been stored inside for most of these years. It's about 90% finished, with very minor things left to do. We did have a leak in the roof which damaged part of the new ceiling that we installed. We never got around to installing a ceiling in the bathroom. We did not use the water or gray water tanks because we never got to take it to our local campground for a shakedown. That was our goal when life circumstances changed. We drove it to our local mechanic once, about 15 miles. It was never used for a trip. Even though the tires are “brand new”, we wouldn't recommend driving it for any great distance because they are chronologically old. The engine starts right up and runs smoothly. The person that we bought it from had a dealer installed new long block 454 V-8 engine put in. The engine has approximately 2,000 miles on it. Here are some specifics: All Aluminum Body New Dealer Installed Long Block 454 V-8 Engine with only 2,000 miles Automatic Transmission Brand New Tires have 50 miles on them, but were bought in 2006 New Brake Lines and Master Cylinder New Welded Steel in Exterior Storage Compartments/ Epoxy Coated Odometer Reading: 71,357 Full Bathroom, including Tub and Shower 2 Twin Beds/Sofas + Bonus Bed when Dinette is Folded Down Electric Dometic Refrigerator/Freezer Propane Stove/Oven Heat and AC Onan Generator New Trace Invertor All LED Lighting and Gauges All New Custom Upholstery New Day/Night Pleated Window Coverings It is being sold in “as is” condition. We don't make any guarantees about its condition because of its age. You are buying it with the understanding that there is still some work that needs to be done on the vehicle. The new owner is going to get the benefit of years and years of work on this classic motorhome. It was an enjoyable project. Please ask questions before bidding. Serious buyers only. Barth was founded by Bob Barth who started building all-aluminum travel trailers in 1963. Barth built motorhomes from 1973 to 1998. Building less than 25 hand-assembled units per year, Barth is still considered a premier line of Motorcoach. Most manufacturers build on wood with aluminum skin or use fiberglass. Barth is an all-aluminum construction far ahead of it’s time. Much like a jet aircraft, a Barth is an aluminum skin placed over an aluminum skeleton. That means no rust, no rot. _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!! | ||||
