28' Breakaways are rare. I have only seen one and it was from Canada. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

I had one as well. And the fellow in Canada did as well. Except for Rusty’s, which had a different chassis, they were a little difficult to handle. Too much weight in the rear vs the front for the 158” wheelbase

I think Rusty's was one of a kind. Only one I know of with the GM 6.5T diesel engine. So a lot lighter in the back than the Cummins. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

Hi folks it is Paul Finley from Canda , I did not know the 28 pushers were so rare but really enjoyed the 91 I bought from Jim & Tere, I sold it to my buddy Rob , we get some looks when travelling in tandam that is for sure, I now have Lorraine & Toms 92 30 ft which does handle better & interior layout suits me better only after getting it back to Canada did I realize I had first met them seen their coach & dogs at the GTG in MILFORD IN 2013, guess I will always be a Barth onwer. Good luck with your election . Fenelon Falls CDN & Cedar Key FL.

Good to hear from you Paul. Rusty's 28' Breakaway was such a different animal that he said it drove like it was on rails. I've even heard of some that would put extra weight on the front of a 28'er to improve the weight distribution. Cedar Key is one of my favorite places. Nothing to do except eat and drink at the Island Hotel, and enjoy the sunsets.
