COMFORTABLE, SPACIOUS LAYOUT!! LOADED WITH STORAGE!!!" "The Magnificent" Barth Regal 25CB was built in the classic tradition of the finest motorhomes of the day. The aluminum riveted frame was built on the Chevrolet steel chassis in the same method as jet aircraft. One of the reasons it is in such fine shape for the age. The interior has hand-rubbed hardwood cabinets with Corian countertops. A 4KW generator and house batteries were replaced in 2019. The tires were also replaced in 2019, being only 29 months old. It is surprising how well everything looks with only moderate wear on the furniture and carpet. The Chevy 454 is a workhorse that continues to deliver 390 horsepower upon demand. You have to see this to believe it. If you like it, you better get an offer in. This will not last at this price and condition. and the condition is surprisingly good. The exterior has some sun fade on the black paint, and the aluminum show some oxidation but fresh paint and a buff job on the aluminum, and this would be a showpiece. The tire age stamp is 1019, and the house and engine batteries show 2019. The seller says everything works as it should. _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!!

Sounds like a nice coach. However, unless that engine has had major modification there is no way it is making 390 hp. Pre 1974 high compression 454s were in that range, but by the time the emission changes were made, none of the 80's 454s were making more than about 250hp. My 1986 454 in the Regal was rated at 240hp! To get 390 hp you would need to remove all smog equipment, install high compression pistons, performance camshaft, headers, high flow intake manifold, fuel injection, etc. That said, any 454 in a 25ft coach should go pretty well! 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

I can't open any of the photos on that listing but... it looks like there might be a pic of the Data Tag. if so, maybe someone could copy it and post on the Data Tag Project forum? Unless of course this unit is already on our list.

This Barth is registered in California, so it must have all the original pollution equipment intact and functioning, or a special upgrade. Mwrench could answer what can be done. So probably has only 250HP or so. 125K miles is getting down near the rebuild for a 454 too. Nose does ok towing a Bass boat or light toad, but read the post by Five-oh about his mountain and a heavy toad experience. Both of these Barth 25 footers have had the pollution stuff removed, otherwise stock 454's of the era, some debate whether this gives more or less power. Either way only talking a few HP. 1971 24 ft Barth Continental P30 chassis 350 engine
