shamelessly continuing this ongoing thread drift... I'm in the market for a Volvo C70 retractable hardtop (or maybe a Volkswagen EOS).

I figured I needed reply to this post about my Barth that somehow turned into a SAAB/Volvo debate. Yes it is my Barth but I will probably take it down and put in storage again. Just cant seem to find anyone that is worthy of owning it . As far as SAAB and Volvo goes nether one has been "Swedish" for 30 years. As of 8 years ago SAAB no longer exist and Volvo is now owned by a Chinese company and exist in name only. My advice, by a Toyota.

In as much as I'm in the market to buy a convertible, Toyota is not in the running. MR2 is scarce and overpriced. Solara is too ugly. I'm not aware of any Toyota (not Lexus) retractable hardtop. Both the EOS and the C70 retractable hardtops are likely to develop headliner problems. Hydraulic problems seem less common. I don't see much mention of either with the 2004 - 2008 Saab 9-3 ragtop.
