o v e r h a n g indeed! Extreme for a Barth, seems to me. P30 much larger frame than most? Really?!? Is it not what "most" gas Class A's had for quite a while? (after Dodge was no longer the supplier of choice)

Perhaps he is referring to the 6 inch steel channel that Barth fastened on top of each GM chassis rail when they built the tag axle versions. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

Ah, yes, thank you for that reminder. Last Fall didn't we meet the guy responsible for so doing?

Did Barth make any GM/tag axle coaches longer than 34 ft? That might be (should be?) the upper limit for that chassis! IMHO, my 33 is a bit longer than ideal. It is now quite stable and easy to drive, but I would shoot for 31 or 32 and a tag axle for the best overall GM based coach. There is an extra frame rail (is it 6" or 8"?) Sure helps working clearance underneath, too. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
