Thanks, so far as we know the power is still on, the adult beverages are still safe but the damage isn't far away. Earlier in the day I washed the boat, lit off 16 out of 20 plugs and was ready to head for home until I checked the weather. It is about 20 miles to home and the initial round was between me and the house. If I had had ear plugs with me I would have put them in, nothing like strong thunderstorm downpour on a tin roof.
Damage to the east of me at this point but probably not at the harbor (power is still on there) but there was a semi turned over nearby west of home. It was off the highway on a lot but not aimed very well, large mt lot and it was broadside to the wind.

10:15 here and so far just a lot of grumbling thunder. Radar says it is on its way but looks like it will miss us.

We didn't get any severe weather but I talked to my neighbor in Kalkaska... The cold and snow that chased me almost to Cuba is still waiting... head bang

They got 1/4 inch of freezing rain/ice and 3 more inches on top of the six inches still in the yard. The snow banks are still 2 feet to 3 feet and there is still a foot of ice on the lake! (Last year it was completely thawed by March 16..) confusion

Here near Detroit it hit 38 degrees, 1.4 inches of rain since Mon and 1/2 inch more tonight. deadhorse

Anyone want to meet me for a GTG maybe anywhere south, maybe for a month? I'm not going home yet, that's for sure! This is ridiculous even for Michigan. We won't even talk about Minnesnowta... (poor Dana!)

We rolled into the Family Motorcoach camping area in Newtown(Cincinnati), on Wednesday afternoon. It was 82 degrees and went down to 67 that night. The rains came yesterday morning, a reular monsoon, so we decided to stay put for another day.
This morning it is 46 degrees out there, going to a high of 51 and no rain so off we go home after nearly 5 months living in the Barth in sunny Arizona.
Might snow tonite in Niagara Falls! Winter ... Give it up!
Funny how life is. Used to yearn for summer weather, now we can't wait for November so we can get on the road again!

You might want to stall a few days...

We got back to the Detroit area on Wed. 30's and rain. Talked to my neighbor in Kalkaska, they got 1/4 inch of freezing rain followed by 6 inches of snow, more in the forecast today...

Eight inches still on the ground, snowbanks are 2-3 feet, 12 inches of ice on the lake! head bang

Next year I'm leaving earlier and staying south longer!

Just turned 100,000 miles on the 454, looking for 10k more this year! 3,000 mile round trip to the Keys on 2 qts of oil, so far so good.

We had an interesting drive back from the GTG. Left Sunday morning and got to Memphis and toured Graceland. Stopped at at a Casino and spent the night.

Monday headed out very early, took a rest at a few places for an hour or so and got to Albuquerque to have a great supper at the Ranch Cafe, owned by a friend of mine. Winds were howling and very STRONG. It was a left quarterly headwind of nearly 30 MPH constant with gusts to 40 MPH. I kept it in 5th gear and 60 MPH but even that, I averaged during that time 7.5 MPG, probably the worst I have ever recorded.

Stopped at Casino 66 just west of ABQ wifey did good and I rested.

Left again very early and then encountered more high winds and some rain turning to snow. It was 40ish so the snow didn't stick and the roads were warm so no icy conditions. Winds were still strong to Flagstaff but was clearing. Stopped at Laughlin NV for a few hours and then to a rest stop at Boron CA.

Wednesday morning boring 5 hour drive to home, arriving about 10:30. Home temperature upon arrival was about 78 degrees and calm. Yesterday temps were lower, about 70is and today should be about the same.

CRAZY WEATHER, glad to be home after 26 days.

Thanks to all we had a great time at the GTG and enjoyed meeting all of you.

60 mph, top gear, 7.5 mpg... (well maybe more like 7) welcome to my world! ROTFLMAO
(At least the gasoline is lower price than diesel now like it should have been all along!)

Glad you're home again safe. Always enjoy your company, looking forward to next time. Next time you visit bro in Howell, let me know! cheers
