Quote: When many people decide that they want to spend some time in Florida on their vacation, they immediately gravitate to areas such as Orlando, Miami and Daytona. While those areas certainly have a lot to offer, you have many other places in Florida to explore. The region of the northeast, {northwest?] closer to Pensacola is a great place to go camping, and you can find some excellent places to bring your RV. One of the great campgrounds that you might want to visit this year is Barrows Lakeside at Barth Campground. The campground offers peace and quiet amidst 80 acres of hardwoods and pine trees. It is open throughout the year, and it is only 25 miles from Pensacola, FL and only 26 miles from Atmore, AL. It is a nice place to visit, and when you see all of the great amenities and activities at the campground, you will see why. Amenities at Barrows Lakeside at Barth Campground The campground has 30 spaces for RVs. The sites on the property are able to accommodate RVs that are up to 46′ long. They have full hookups for water, sewer and electric and they have 30-amp service. Tent camping is available at the campground as well. You will find clean restrooms and showers at the campground, and they even have a laundry available so you won’t have to leave the camp just to wash your clothes. Barrows Lakeside at Barth Campground has 3 onsite lakes. The lakes are stocked, and you will be able to fish in them. Canoe and boat rentals are available at the campground as well. The kids will be able to have fun on the playground, and the entire family will be able to enjoy the trails. The campground has some things that make it even more special. They have an operating, water powered sawmill onsite. They also have a large pavilion that is available for lease if you want to hold a wedding, reunion or some other type of gathering.
