Should you open an email that is sent by someone or some entity that you don't know? I have been told that it is safe to do so as long as you don't click on any links in the email Jim

If you don't have Mailwasher Pro or a similar program, can a virus infect your computer just by the opening of an email? Jim

Generally, no. But ANY email from an unknown source should be deleted without opening. On a related note, when going through my spam box I often find the sender is someone I know well, or a relative, but it will just be their name, not their e-mail address, and the message will be something like "This is really funny" with an attachment. DELETE. 79 Barth Classic | |||
