I see that it can be downloaded from a number of sites. But, I don't know if I should trust any of them. Downloads and exe's always worry me. Indeed, I do have dual pane Peninsula windows. So, I am curious about the article. My windows do not seem to be vacuum sealed and/or gas charged. They have what appears to be a SS spring-loaded disc valve in the corners. | |||

In the world of computer security, just owning a computer makes you vulnerable. Admitting that, I never worry about downloads as my virus software scans them before they are accepted and opened. Exes are a whole nuther story and to be greatly feared. Mogan, I also have Peninsula windows on my 85 Barth. The little button you spoke of is an altitude equalization thing. I guess you press it when your altitude changes significantly. I've never used the feature, being essentially a 'flat lander'. BTW, Mogan David as in the wine? Jim

Those altimeters work off barometric pressure. They change with altitude, yes, but must be set to a known altitude prior to travel and reset if there is a dramatic change in pressure. I have one in the BB and it is very accurate. Sometimes I don't bother setting it, but can just read the difference to see altitude changes. It is surprising how different your perception of altitude is compared to reality sometimes.
