If you get tired of watching Bill's fireworks here on the site, you are invited to Kalkaska to watch. 4th of July, as always, around 10 PM. One last lap around the lake. (It can't hurt to advertise!)

Almost ready. New this year I put a plexiglass window in my shield wall so I can see what's happening on the deck.

Well, it almost didn't happen. Mother Nature made us nervous. About two hours before dark it started raining lightly. We all scrambled and covered up the displays. Light rain on and off after that. We decided the show must go on. At 10pm we had light on and off drizzle so we fired em up. We had a good show with four overlapping displays. Me on the boat, two others on shore, (one across the lake at the far left in the photo and one at the boat launch, upper right) and one swimming raft with another 50 mortars and 10 boxes. Nonstop about 35 minutes. Just at the end of the show it started raining harder and we all ran away. It rained all night. In spite of the rain we had a pretty good turnout of happy viewers, yelling and clapping all around the lake. A good time was had by all. The morning after... still foggy

When you started out the boat looked like it was ready to go to the Ukraine, after sure looks like it lost the encounter!! Sure, it was nice to get your display off without a hitch!!!! 1971 24 ft Barth Continental P30 chassis 350 engine
