The Perseid Meteor shower should peak in the early hours of 8/12. Perseus will be rising in the east-northeast late 8/11, moving west.

The Perseid Meteor showers are alway a good time for the ham radio community. It is amazing what the vapor trail of the meteors will do for long distance communication on VHF and UHF. It is short lived however with brief bursts of signals and then nothing!

Heard a lot of distant stations early this AM but did not have the power to have any reliable data exchange.
