You can if you want to. I changed over to transynd in my Allison a couple of years ago in my 46 year old MCI bus. It is supposed to make it run a little cooler, (can't tell for sure on mine), and shift easier. (seems like it does). Can't just add transynd to existing fluid though,....you need to have it flushed out and replaced. An Allison shop can do it. Also even though it costs more to do it at first, your change interval goes to 4-5 times longer so it saves you money in the long run. | |||

Hi Lenny & Judy, hope this finds you both in better health. On ours Lenny, I changed to it. Drained as much I could, drove it awhile then changed it again. Good to go. It did lower our trans temp about 20 degrees. Keep in mind we travel a lot and tow a 3400lb Jeep with a 250 hp engine. Yes it is very compatible. See ya all T&N | |||
