When I had my transmission fluid changed to TranSynd the other day the transmission guy and I looked for the communication plug for the MD3060 transmission. We found a plug in the electrical bay (left front of coach) but the plug didn't match any of his communication cables or adapters and we couldn't positively say the plug was connected to the electronic box. Any ideas where Barth tended to put the communication plug. We found the electronic box for the transmission in the electrical bay but couldn't trace the wires very far without a lot of ripping and tearing. So I figured I'd ask the experts. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue. That plug you found in the electrical box is the Allison connector but it seems that they changed the connectors along the way. The units most shops have now will not connect to the earlier 6 speeds.

I have not gone after the adapter yet and that is one the many things yet to do, will post when I find anything.

I am on the road these days so it will be a few weeks before I could be of any help.

The plug in question is for the Allison WTEC II System. I recently bought the adapter and software to "Talk" to the tranny and compooter

Thanks Ed,

I will also investigate this plug and try to find an adapter for it now that I know it's for the transmission. If I'm successful I will post the information and if you would like I'll send you an email, just let me know.

Billyt53,

Do I need to go to Allison for this adapter or is it available from another vendor? Also, is it spendy? Thanks in advance.
