Pirate19"Auto-Propane" filling stations
Was at an airport service plaza this weekend and saw a station to fill a car with "Auto-Propane". To take a closer look at the connection fitting I would have had to drive the wrong way on a one-way. And so, I ask ...
Any chance we could fill our RV propane tanks at such a station, and what roughly would be the charge per gallon? I paid $2.75 per gallon at my local U-Haul in October.
Thanks.

Duane88When I had my Winnebago that would burn either gasoline or propane, I always went to a propane depot so I would not have to pay road taxes. Do not tell the state!!

Pirate19Returned to the airport service area this morning. Took a picture of the pump. Measured the female filling hose connection and compared with my coach's propane male connection. Appears it would absolutely fit. Remember to open bleeder vent to know when your tank is "full".
May want to use such an automobile propane pump in a pinch - price was $3.49 a gallon! Fed and State road tax?
(edit: apparently don't know how to post a picture
