I see that someone was thinking about replacing their rear springs, how about the front coil springs on my '72 22' Chev chassis. I only have 3/4 inch clearance between the rubber stop and the franme. I talked to a franme shop and they seemed to think that there should be some air bags inside the coils. I don't see any bags, but I do see a smaller coil. Anyone ever deal with this problem before. Hi Dennis, I think you will find that air bags will substantially improve the stability of your ride. They are fairly inexpensive at your local Camping World or RV Place. Camping World sometimes has a $5.00 Installation special. You can put up to 90 lbs in the ones on the front. I run mine at around 70 on the drivers side and 80+ on the passengers side, because the gas tanks and water are on that side. It probably doesn't make any difference but it makes me feel smart. You can also get new springs but I think the bags are a better idea.. ------------------ Shortcuts Always Take Longer | |||
