I am having issues with the radio in our 1988 Regal. I was just going to replace the factory radio with a new unit. I removed it and noticed the regular automotive wiring on the one side but on the other side there were a bunch of gray cables coming out and leading away under the dash. What would these wires go to?

external speakers ? Idunno

Play TV sound through radio speakers - radio used as a sort of amp. I wish mine was so wired.

TV sound sounds like it makes sense. I put the dash back together because of overwhelming anxiety lol.
