Since the overhaul of the Bluesmobile, there has been a leak from the front exhaust port on the driver side. I was using a well regarded brand I've used many times on other projects. I am assuming that the Gibson header flange has warped over the past 15 years and that compounds the problem.

I used Remflex RFL-2036 gaskets, ARP 615-1250 bolts (stainless, 1.25", 12 point head, Summit SUM-HK-37NELW1Z external tooth lock washers, and never-seize.

This seems to have solved the leak.

The backstory: it seems the Gibson exhaust flange bolt holes were not properly centered. That probably led to the problems I had a year or so ago with getting the old bolts out. I resized the holes on a drill press, the new bolts fit better, aligned with the cylinder head bolt holes.

happy motoring,
Matt
