Jim and TereKoehler Generator Part
Does anyone know what the part is that the finger is pointed to? BTW, the pic is of a Koehler propane generator, a 7.5 I believe.

If you notice that there is ,to the right, a thing that looks like a spark plug wire. That surely indicates that the object in question is a daflungus.

Steve VWIt looks like a regulator. I would guess there is a 2 stage system, 1st regulator near tank valve, second one at generator?

Gary CarterIt is the regulator. Also the liquid to vapor converter. Most of the Kohlers used liquid propane and then the regulator would vaporize it. Note is mounted on the head to keep it warm. Changing a liquid to a vapor requires a lot of BTUs.
When I had ours, tried to let the engine warm a little before throwing on a load. Had it freeze up a couple of times.
Even though they were rated at 7KW that was on gasoline. On propane it was closer to 6300.

Jim and TereGary, here's a picture of another part that the generator repair shop called a Garrets Model KN Regulator. Again it's the part the finger is pointing to.
The generator repair shop replaced this one but not the one in the first picture. They claim that the one they replaced was the 'vaporizer'.
