I have a 1987 33' 454 Chevy powered Regal and would appreciate knowing if it should have a vented or nonvented gas cap? Thanks kenpartney@sbcglobal.net

Good question, since many of us will be backing up the locked door with a locking cap, if we haven't already. How about my 81 P something? 79 Barth Classic

My 84 is suction-vented. When the smog guy tests it, he makes sure it vents only in one direction, in toward the tank, but not out. I just went out and blew and sucked on it, and that's how it works, all right. Speaking of gas, on our trip up and down the coast, a station stopped the pump at $75. Had to use another credit card and yet another to fill up the Barth. This was a big major brand station right at a set of 101 off and on ramps. BTW, 101 is a major North-South California highway. Heck, even my 20mpg sedan takes more than that to fill. What are they thinking? We usually use Costco, which has $200 cut off, and allows you to re use the credit card several times. Speaking of Costco, I would recommend always having map locations for Costco, Walmart, Sams, American Legion, VFW, and whatever lodge applies. And carry license plate frames identifying you as members to avoid being rousted if you pull into a lot too late to check with anyone. We change license plate frames to fit the site, just so they know we are members. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered
