Did a quick search for you and came up with this thread. http://barthmobile.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3631087061/m/...781038061#3781038061
I replaced my fronts with Air Ride, got then through Summit Racing, great people, by the way, they actually talk to you and make sure your getting what you need.

Go to www.firestoneindustrial.com.
Click on North America.
Navigate to "Aftermarket Replacement" under the airbag photo beneath the heading, "Heavy Duty Vehicles."
Select "OEM Suspension" under the "Cross Reference" heading.
Scroll down to "Neway" in the "Select OEM" box.
Find your suspension model in the long list of Neway suspensions, & do a search to see if Firestone has a replacement for the Goodyear bag.

Another alternative: Do a Google search for Neway air bags, & investigate what comes up. The first reference I found in that search was headed "Truck air springs and Goodyear truck air bags," & led to a company called "Stengel Bros."

I don't have my Neway manual handy to get a model number, otherwise I'd try to find the answer for you. There are enough of these Neway suspensions around so air bag replacements must be available. You'll have to take it from here, yourself.

My bags are marked 1R9 566-18-3-010. A Neway manual I have copied says their pn is 90557049. They have two top bolts 3 3/8" apart, and one bottom bolt. One of the top bolt is also an air fitting. Sitting at the proper height, the bag plates are 8 1/2" apart at the center line, viewed from the side.

I have narrowed the Goodyear choice down to pn 1R9-038. The -038 uses the same 566-18-3-010 sleeve. The 038 does not have an internal bumper, as do some others, so I don't know if it is supposed to bottom out without a bumper, or what, since the Neway tag assembly has no external bumper. However, it is likely that only extreme off-road whoop-de-doos would bottom the tag axle.

In 2002, John Briggs, after shopping for air springs selected, with the help of his local air spring expert, the Firestone W01-358-6932 .
His expert felt that the original ones were wrong from the start because of the way that they wore out. He had to give $132 each for them. They went on with no modification and hold the vehicle level with no change in air pressure.

Looking at the link cited, we see that each bag holds 2600 lbs at 100 psi. That would mean that two bags would support 2600 lbs at 50 psi. That is about twice the pressure the Neway manual says for that load. However, carrying 50 lbs in the bags should not be a problem.

I don't know if the Firestone design is appropriate for the angularity between the upper and lower plates on the Neway, though. It also seems not to have as much extension as the original.

The stated design height is right on, and they have an internal bumper.

Here is an active link that shows that model. http://www.standens.com/Hardwa...irestone_catalog.pdf The 6932 is on page 86, and does not look like what is on my Neway axle. Neway is not listed in the right hand column, either.

The Neway number, 90557049, does not show up on that site.

The Goodyear number IR9-025 does not cross.

The Neway number posted by Bill NY, 90057057, comes up on page 9 as a 5412, and does not look like mine, either. But, it is closer, having a reversible sleeve design. It also has a three hole top plate, with slightly different hole spacing than mine.

Yet another Barther used a 5423, which is on the same page as the 5412. It uses the same reversible sleeve, 1T14C-3, but has a shorter piston and a two-hole top plate, like the original Goodyear. It looks like a good substitute for the Goodyear. Compression and extension. The compression is limited by the internal rubber bump stop, and extension is limited by full extension of the shock absorber.

The 6932, on page 86, differs in that it does not use a reversible sleeve. Some users feel this to be a stronger design, as it eliminates the possibility of friction and sand grinding where the rubber meets the piston, as can happen with the reversible sleeve design. The site lists only the minimum height, 3.5 inches, and says nothing about max height. They all have a 6.31 inch upper mount diameter, so I would imagine that the larger body diameter of the 6932, with its greater volume of air, would give a softer ride. With a P30, that may be good or not so good. Or, it might not even be noticed, since the tag is doing only a small part of the carrying.

For our own use, we need enough extended length to fully extend the tag suspension, as we often need to use the tag bags for leveling in rough spots. Since the reversible sleeve design allows a really long (11 front and 14 7/8" rear) extended length, it might be better for our own purposes. But, any bag that goes full travel on extension and has proper bump stop limiting of compression should be good. Heck, providing an external bump stop wouldn't be a big deal, for that matter. Those who don't boondock on tilty spots need not be as concerned with full extension.

I have measured my tag set up, and the compressed bag height is 4 3/8 and the extended height is either 11 or 14 7/8 inches, front and rear, respectively. Normal sit is 8 1/2".

I have family in Zeeland, right outside Holland, MI, and maybe they know somebody at the Neway/Holland/LearSiegler/SAF plant who might know about the old stuff. Will check tomorrow and see if they can find anyone who would know anything about a direct replacement bag. Or call SAF/Holland yourself and ask for Chuck Hacker, if he's still there.

Can't find a specific reference to that model #. Benlee.com shows several airbags for Neway suspensions. Suggest you contact them for help matching an airbag with your suspension.

When you find out, it would be helpful to others to post the information here.

Ken, did that number come off the bag itself?
