I need some help in trying to figure out why my Norcold frig. won't stay running longer than 20-30 seconds on the LP mode. It shuts down and flashes a warning of A1 on the screen.
It is an electric/LP model and both worked fine about two weeks ago (electric mode still works fine).
I thought maybe the burner part was dirty so I took it apart cleaned it and tried it out again.
Has a good blue flame, however after 20 seconds it shuts down again.
Mine is a model 962 with a serial # 311775CS if that helps.

One of the issues with Norcolds of recent vintage is an undocumented error message. There's a switch in the chimney; I bypassed it on mine, although there's an overly-complex protocol for resetting it.

Thank you both for the help.
The LP mode is now working fine.
The problem was in the heat sensor which is about a foot above the flame area.

Just went out to try it again and the LP mode ran
for about five minutes without shutting down.

As always, helping each other is what makes
Barthmobile a great group. Thumbs Up
