What should the transmission temp. be during normal driving? ------------------ M&M Largo,FL 90 Regency DP 40'

Less than 200 degrees. What engine/transmission combo? If it is a diesel and the trans is cooled by the engine coolant it will remain near 180 (engine temp) until it is loaded. Up to 300 deg for short periods will be ok but it will "burn" if run for long periods above 230. My 96 Cummins/Allison cruises at 180F towing a full size SUV. ------------------ "You are what you drive" - Clint Eastwood [This message has been edited by Gunner (edited October 12, 2005).]
