We got 2 LaCrosse weather stations for Christmas, and it took me about 2 seconds to figure out what to do with the extra. I haven't figured out if the sending unit will work through the aluminum body yet, but I plan on putting the receiver in a central location in the coach and I'll just put the sending unit outside wherever we are. Not a necessity but another step from "Roughing it".

I have used the Oregon Scientific weather station for a couple of years in the Barth for weather information during the races. It works well thru the aluminum body. I have all the sensors in the back by the ladder and the monitor on the dash.

I have used the LaCrosse temperature monitor in the Barth and it works thru aluminum as well.

Ours is a Sharper Image unit that we have had for a few years and works perfectly thru the Barth.
Don't leave the remote unit on the picnic table when you leave your site and have to turn around when you get to the Interstate!

A friend did that, but returned for it a day or so later. It was gone, but they had a box of them, and invited him to select one. After moving batteries around, he found a match.
