StrollingBarthbrake problems
We are getting ourselves into a 1977 Barth. brake problems no brake lights, run and drives. Anyone know of a mechanic close to Bainbridge, GA?

Steve VWSorry, I can't help with a local mechanic.
The brake lights are fed directly from the main fuse block. My 86 used an orange wire to the brake light switch. (12V at all times.) The brake switch is mounted at the top of the brake lever.
From the brake switch another wire runs to the steering column and up into the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch, in the center resting position, sends the power through the chassis harness to both the brake lights.
So, check for power at the brake switch. Step on the brake and be sure power goes through the switch.
If the turn signal lights work, the chassis harness is prob ok.
Check connectors to the steering column. Good luck
