Advice for electrical systems. Recently I was speaking with another Barth Coach owner. He noted that removing all ground connections, thoroughly cleaning them, and correctly torquing the connections greatly improved the output of his electrical system. Since we all have older coaches, it might be a good preventative maintenance item.

If I may, I would like to expand on that good advice. The ground cable from the battery should go to one of the starter bolts, with a star washer between the cable end and the starter. Another ground cable should go from the other starter bolt to the chassis, again with star washers. The connections should then be shot with LPS3 to prevent corrosion. Poor grounds are a common cause of exterior lighting problems.
