Fred, we have a Gillig chassis and cannot find a solenoid midway down the chassis. We have a solenoid in the rear and this one under the driver window.

We also have a solenoid attached to the starter. The solenoid is new with the just rebuilt starter. The rear solenoid in the rear start control panel is also new. We have also replaced the 2 starter batteries because they failed a load test.

To let everyone know the end result of the intermittent start issue. We replaced the starter solenoid under the driver's side window compartment with the Cole Hersee. We had the mechanics replace the fuel starter solenoid and add a remote starter switch in the rear of the coach as the existing rear starter had also failed to start a couple of times. We didn't want to take any chances on our trip up the Oregon coast in August. The coach has started up every time without having to use the remote starter. Not exactly sure what the issue was but it is working now.
