Richard_Muiseelectric brake kit?
I purchased an tow dolly for my Honda Fit, which I no loafer recommend towing 4-down. Does anyone know if I can get an electric brake kit for the tow dolly?
Thanks.

This is a significant upgrade. You may find it cheaper to sell the non-brake version and buy a brake equipped one.
I would guess the axles need to be replaced with brake equipped axles as well as actuators. I'm not sure if a battery powered break away system is required when brakes are present, but it may be.

RustyI agree - adding brakes involves replacing the axle, and dollies are mostly axle, so just getting a new, brake-equipped dolly is the cost-effective choice.
Breakaway systems operate the trailer/dolly brakes, and are a relatively inexpensive option, which can be added later for little cost. I have one on my cargo trailer, but it's likely overkill.

DoormanNothern Tool has add on brake kits. Both hydraulic and electric. Just remove hub, bolt on backing plate, install drum, and run wire. On hyd. run line and bolt on tounge actuator. You can also get disk setups. I have seen these set up at our local flee market for less than 1/2 what Northern is asking. most are set for dexter axels. Also check Ebay. I have seen full axels w/brakes for less than kits. Shipping charges are the cost.
