I don't get it. Consulting the Cummins manual for my '95 6CTA (300hp) it says to use ethylene glycol coolant that meets spec ASTM D4985. This Prestone extended life ethlyene glycol claims to meet this spec. I buy the SCA (DCA) additive at NAPA (their brand) and run with that combination mixed with distilled water. Easy to find any of those items if necessary. Also use the same antifreeze/distilled water mix (without SCA) in my other vehicles. Could it be that they responded thinking in terms of more modern diesels? Also, I have yet to find their heavy duty version in the black container anywhere. Gads, after all this time, sure hope my combination is OK. Mike | ||||
