My pass side headlight was looking pretty bad. The plastic lens was yellow and foggy, it had water inside and the reflector was shot. Time for a new one. Heading to Florida in a few days...

It is a long reach from the center or from below.

The first step is to remove the outer bezel assembly. It is held by two nuts on the bottom and one small screw at the top.

You can then remove the headlight itself. It is attached at 3 corners with spring C clips. (Easy to remove, long reach to get to!)

Once you have replaced the light, this is a good time hook it up and aim it. It is hard to get to the adjusters with the bezel in place.

Then you just replace the bezel.

These lights were OEM for 1994 Ford Bronco and F150. Complete with bulb.

Part # TYC 20-1934-00 pass
TYC 20-1935-00 driver side.

Got mine on Amazon for $27 including shipping. prices vary a lot

In spite of the improvement with the new lenses, the bulbs were still the old style halogen type. I was able to locate some nice LED upgrade replacements for the bulbs. Easy to replace and MUCH brighter!

The old style bulb was HB5/9007. New LEDs are available but prices (and apparently, quality) vary greatly. I was advised to avoid any that had cooling fans and look for good heat sinks built in. I got the replacements from Superbright and they look OK so far. I had to trim the locking collar to clear the heat sink but no big deal.

I installed only one so far. I will shoot pics after dark to compare them.

Whoah! I took a couple of shots. The LED is both brighter and whiter. The difference is most noticable in the dark.

It will be worth it to replace the other side! I may still have to re-aim them.

Leave it to you Steve to get lit up now you are home. ROTFLMAO

Dramatic Change! Nice job!

What was the model number and cost of the new bulb. Monarch owners need to know Thumbs Up

We all benefit from your projects. We being a smaller finite group and not all of us. Case in point your taillights and my taillights.

You have seemed to have found the right camera setting to avoid the Gargantuan picture. Care to share the settings? Or is PB playing nice again?

As I mentioned I replaced my Hella H1/H4 with with units that look like yours Yes I hjad to re-aim them. Even so with the euro style light horizontal cut off I still get flashed occasionally, The whiteness is a bit objectionable to some oncoming vehicles.

But for night driving, SO MUCH BETTER!

Dana, Steve needs brighter lights as we approach the long days of the year!!HaHa

Here is a link to the bulbs I bought. Sold by the pair, they may be cheaper elsewhere but I had no way of comparing quality/price so I went with SuperBright. I have had good results with all the LED products I get from them.

https://www.superbrightleds.co...lumensset/3916/8030/

Meanwhile, PhotoBucket has worked (a little) better lately...
Previously, you could send them ANY size photo and they would store the original, then return it to our site with the proper size (as specified by Bill NY.)

Lately, many photos sent in just never showed, and some were returned here with the incorrect size and resolution. (When Bill NY pointed out THEIR sizing errors, PB suggested that WE resize to 1024 x 768 pixels before submitting the photos to them.) head bang

I usually sent in photos around 1Mb resolution and PB resized them to 1024 x 768 which is closer to 200K. I believe PB is cheaping out and trying to save memory (at the expense of lost resolution.)

I have presized the last few photos I have sent to PB down to 1024 X 768 resolution. They have appeared in Bill's PB account promptly and seem to be returning to our threads here. This is just one more hassle for "the privilege" of using PhotoBucket. head bang
