My own preference when it fits is an AC air filter. Otherwise Baldwin. Here is a good site: http://home.usadatanet.net/~jbplock/ISO5011/SPICER.htm My preference in brake fluid is ATE, changed yearly. I travel some scary mountains, so I am heavily influenced by the dry boiling point. I alternate between blue and gold so I can tell when bleeding is complete. I like, very good advice about the color. I think yearly might be overkill but you know your system. Do you get a lot of humidity were your at?

Talking Smoke---I remember the 60's and my B-61 Mack on a good warm night and a long hill you could get 3'feet of fire out the exhaust.I slways heard more smoke more power. Sure wouldn't want to take it into Calf. or N.J. They'd stick that probe in the exhaust and you'd have to call Bill to have it towed (after the 1000$ fine) P.S. I vote for Shell Rotella 15-40 !

Bill, yearly might be overkill with ATE, but I can tell you for sure that biannually is not often enough for regular DOT3. I forgot the brand, but it was a major national brand. Perhaps Prestone. I go down scary things like Montezuma or Isabella westward, so brakes are very important to me. We live less than a mile from the ocean, so yes, there is a lot of humidity. I probably should buy a pack of those test strips to test my fluid instead of just willy-nilly bleeding every year. I wish those P30 reservoirs were easier to get to. And the tag.
