The door latch where it moves the sliding bolt to open the door from the outside snapped off yesterday. Do I need to replace the entire latch assembly? It possible to find the replacement? The outside latch still moves as it did, it now doesn't touch the bolt. I can't really tell what exactly broke off. The latch works fine as it did from the inside.

I sure could use some advice as to how to proceed. Thanks in advance.

A picture would help.

If it is a Bargmann, they are pretty decent about parts.

Thanks Bill, I don't have a method to get a photo uploaded at the current time. I looked up a Bargman L-300 and mine appears to be a Bargman however the dimensions are a little different probably a discontinued model. Mine is basically 4" by 5 1/2 where the L-300 is almost square. I think I can make the L-300 work after redoing the opening to fit.

Thanks again
Kim

From Kim: "The broken part is inside the flat recessed handle on the outside. It moves, just doesn't move the bolt anymore."
