Sagging Ceiling, How to Repair
I have a section or two of my ceiling that starting sagging more noticeably this past year due to a water leak on the roof.
I would like to push it back up and attach a strip of reinforcing metal similar to existing which is attached by several screws driven into the ceiling joist or rafters.
My problem is that I'm not sure what I would be driving screws into. Does anyone know what kind of support is between the roof and the ceiling?? I have seen some of the old pictures of Barths on the assembly line and what looks like metal/ Al rafters but am unsure and don't know the spacing.
Has anyone out there rebuilt their ceilings??

I'm pretty sure Nick Cagle did a ceiling job on his Barth a while back. Search his threads. Thumbs Up

I often thought what I would do with a sgging roof, I keep to the thought of oak strips after I found out what caused the sag.wally van isle
