No, I don't want to install a diesel engine in my Barth. My question is, if I had to replace my 454 down the road, I would have a FI engine installed. IF that were to happen, could this engine be an OBD-2 compliant? Is it feasible to do this? I know OBD-2 talks to many parts of a vehicle. I'd love to have that magic port in my Barth. Is this just a pipe dream?

For OBD2 to work fully, it needs all the inputs. Your best bet would be to find a donor vehicle and take what you need. Diff ratio needs to be matched to the computer. GM went to OBD2 in 96 on their trucks. Not sure on motor homes.

There are several aftermarket FI units now, and Arizona Speed and Marine used to market a super nifty FI setup for the BB chev.
