winterizing blow out
I've never seen these available for blowing out water lines, but they are simple enough to make if you have a need for something like this.

I picked up the water hose couplings from Harbor Freight, but I have seen plastic male water hose fittings in hardware depts. that would work just as well as the brass ones.

Nothing fancy, the air hose coupling fits into the water hose coupling tightly enough without any tooling and teflon tape isn't necessary either. Hook up your air line quick connect and you're all set.

It makes it easier to blow the system out for a lengthy time because you're obviously not holding a tire valve attachment, like on the type of blowouts that are sold in RV stores.

Isn't this a timely post......................lol
I kept forgetting to bring it up

I suggest returning those to Harbor Freight. I bought a set and the balls and retaining ring weren't stainless steel and rusted out...

They might not be brass, either. Hit them with a file and see.

I use a Milton S-698 on the blowout fitting. It stays on.
