Our passenger side wiper motor is broken. I have read the posts where it is a Sprague motor available from Rome Truck Parts. I just spoke with them and they say they no longer have them. Does anyone know where else they are available? Thanks, Sheila

I googled "sprague wiper motors" got several hits in addition to Rome. There are several Sprague motors listed, they look similar except for the wiring connectors. Also some hits for Ebay. If you know your specific Sprague type you should be able to locate one, if not you may be able to adapt one of their others by swapping the connectors. Good luck. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

FYI, we finally removed the Sprague motor and were then able to read the Motor No., which of course is no longer in existence. In a past phone call to Rome Truck Parts, I was told they no longer had the motors, but in talking with again with the old # we were able to get a repair kit. It is just the plastic piece (which is what broke on ours) and you replace that piece. The old motor #is B26/4-1. We haven't done the work yet, but it looks like the old piece. The cost of the kit was $80.00. Will let you know if it doesn't work. Sheila

Installed the repair kit plastic piece into the old motor and installed. The motor now works and the wiper is working, although it's been quite a challenge to get it to sweep in the correct area of the window. Got it close enough for now. Sheila

Having driven a stepvan with the position of both wipers over the windshield I think I prefer them in that position when driving/cleaning in rain...or snow!! The only possible objection would be on the aesthetic nature of the frontal view?? But one could always paint them so they would recede into the colour of the coach...?? Has anyone done so?? _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!!

That's only one of the assemblies available there. I'v driven trucks with the overhead wipers, too. but the low ones clear more needed visibility.
