I am calling the set of valves that control the routing of, draining of, filling, winterizing etc of the freshwater system "water control" for the purposes of this query. Currently my moho has about 5 valves interconnected that serve these purposes. They are close coupled with tee's, elbows etc. I have one connection leaking. The most practical way to repair is to rebuild the entire setup, indeed may be the only way to repair. EXCEPT- I think I have seen multi-position single valves for this purpose. But I cannot find them with internet search. Does anyone know of a brand or source for such valves, even if it is a coach brand? If I am going to rebuild the thing, just as soon modernize it. The pool & spa industry routinely plumbs with PVC multi-port valving - might be worth a look.

I completely redid my water works with simple brass 1/4 turn valves secured by Oetiker clamps on the PEX. This made the system simple, durable and easy to maintain. I carry a couple of spares, just in case. The only exception is the winterizing valve which I use to select whether the pump sucks from the tank or a hose run outside to a water container brought from town. When the outside hose is selected, a bypass valve is opened, allowing the pump to fill the tank. The winterizing valve is all brass, so should not be a maintenance problem. As a side note, when reconfiguring, I removed the check valve from the pressure fill port. This requires a cap to prevent the outrush of pump water, but allows the attachment of an outside shower hose for dog washing, bucket cleaning, dump cleanup, etc. Susan stands by with the sprayer ready, and immediately after dumping, my hands and the shoe soles get rinsed and Purel-ed. . 84 30T PeeThirty-Something, 502 powered

A pic of my valves: http://odyssey.garryp.org/blog09/images/valves.JPG A pic of the functional labels: http://odyssey.garryp.org/blog09/images/labels.JPG I have no intention of being as "cute" as the mfg by packing ther valves with a gazillion elbows and tees. Reminds me of some programmers I knew that made their code convoluted on purpose so that no one could figure it out. To hell with maintainability! So guess I will pretty much rebuild it larger with compression joints as to avoid buying a tool for a once a lifetime job. The shop that replaced my toilet said maybe 3 hours of lablor, but really did not want to touch it.
