Does anyone have an opinion regarding the "crank-up stlye dish VS manually setting up a dish on the ground? I tried to use a friends active dish receiver in the Barth and after three hours we still couldn't find a signal. Yesterday I finally got my own satellite receivers and am wondering if the dish on top of my Barth is defective or just a royal pain to find a signal? What do you guys find to be the easiest? We travel to a different place most of the time. Does anyone know how to test a dish?

We went from a crank up to a ground set up using a sat finder to a king dome auto sat. cost has come down a bit i think since we bought ours BUT, i don't regret it one bit. pust the button and theres the signal. One time it took myself and 3 other rv'ers an hour and a half to find a signal with that darn tripod unit. You know male rv'ers in a campground, raise the hood or get out a wrench in sight of others and ya got all kinds of help.
