MWrenchHelp with pictures
Sorry for those large pictures, I have photoshopped them down to around 50K size but they still come out very large! What an I doing wrong?
Suggestions please! I don't want to burn excessive bandwidth!

RustyWhen you reduce the size, check the number of pixels/inch. Change to 72. More than likely, although you're changing the image size, it'll still show up large if the pixels count is left higher.
You can also crop the photo (the dotted square on the toolbar) to elimate fluff.
In any event, 50K is 50K, and the pixel count and image size have no bearing on bandwidth consumption - only file size does.

bill hEd, there are two things I can think of.
1. Put the picture in photobucket and use the link from there. They have several sizing options.
2. Use Microsoft's Nifty Image Resizer.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotogr...tips/eschelman2.mspxI totally love it. Almost all of my pictures are small, and I just use the wheel to make them full screen if desired.
I am intimidated by Photoshop, but if push comes to shove, I will prevail on Susan to come up with something.

MWrenchThanks guys, on most of the other forums that I post on if I keep the pictures to 50K it comes out about right. I used the Windows resizer for the alternator picture and reduced it to 640 by 480 and it still is bigger then I expected. As I post more and more pictures I will get the hang of it!
