The only way I see of adding/filling the Allison 542 on my 93 Breakaway is through the same small tube that the transmission dip stick is in. Am I mission something? In fact that tube is almost horizontal for the first three feet. Help Jim

I used a long funnel that fit tight into the dipstick tube. It worked much better than you would think possible. Terry 1991 30 ft Breakaway 160 HP Cummins 4 Speed Allison

Jim, I experienced the same difficulties when I changed out the filters and switched over to Transynd. I bought a clear plastic funnel with attached clear tubing from Walmart. I found that the end of the tubing would fit into the filler tube. The funnel was marked allowing you to see how much fluid you were putting in at one time. The funnel also has a twist shut-off feature that allows you to fill up the funnel and the release the contents. Yes, in operation it looks as if you are giving an I.V. to your Barth,(you have to hold the funnel up higher than the tube level), and it takes awhile,(almost five gallons for a complete fill), but the system works.
