SLC has been working on bringing the KD 460/461 lens back in stock. We can possibly bring these back. Unfortunately, the cost would be about $28 a lens. We wonder how many people would want to pay this price??????? Feedback Please....@ orderdesk@slclighting.com

Thank you Rusty for taking the time to respond. We hope to get enough feedback to determine if it is worth the cost of having the lens made. Please pass this along. The more feedback we can get the better!

We do have some older interior florescent lights in our clearance section if you are looking for some. http://slclighting.com/Clearance_c89.htm?page=2

Unfortunately, due to the cost of manufacturing this lens and the lack of enough potentials sales, SLC Lighting will NOT be able to bring this lens back at this time. We would like to thank everyone for the feedback and hope we can assist you in your future needs. Sincerely, SLC Lighting International

It would have been nice to know how many they need to make. I managed a sheet metal/weld shop with powdercoat capabilities. I also did the estimating for our customers. There are three things needed in order to give a customer a price. 1. material cost. 2. labor time. 3. quantity that customer wants. ??????? ken

OOPS, I forgot to break the labor down into two catagories. Set up time, which is divided by the number of pieces and the actual run time.(the time it actually takes to run the part) ken

I would approach marketing differently, too. Once we determine the break-even unit cost for the minimum production run, I would market them with minimum markup to encourage prebuy customers. These buyers get a better price because they commit early. The producer has almost no risk and the buyers get a good deal. When the cost of the minimum run is covered, additional units can be produced and sold at a higher profit with little risk to the producer. Win-win for the early buyer and the producer? 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
