I'm only two switches away from having them all ID'd in my 'new' 32', '89 Regency. 1. Inside the door are 4 switches. Step, Kitchen Light, Cabin Light, and ?. 2. A dash switch labeled EPM. It's on the right side above the Engine Hour Meter. There's a third small round push type switch just to the right of the Hour Meter but it appears to have been added by one of the previous owners. The fellow I bought th coach from had no idea what any of the above switches were for so any help would be appreciated. Herb | ||

I'd guess the fourth switch is the grab handle light. As to the "EPM" switch, I'm, like you, clueless, unless it is the Emergency Parallel switch, which allows paralleling the coach batteries with the chassis batteries for emergency starting. Mine has a red insert... Rusty, Thanks for the idea. The handle lite hasn't worked even with the switch in question. I figured the bulb was out and it worked with the step light. I'll try replacing the bulb and see if that's the answer. On the other, there's a momentary switch for aux start. Thanks | |||

Herb, EPM is Engine Protection Module. This module will shut the engine down in case of low oil pressure or high water temperature. The switch is to override the module. There is information on this switch in the Gillig or Cat manual I think. Nick | |||

In another post I described my work to redo the dash lights with LED's and to build new panels. One switch I moved was the EPM over-ride to clean up the arrangement. I also removed the two that had the air operated cruise control. I discovered a previous owner has removed the EPM module and left the wires coiled up under the dash. While the coach runs fine without it, I became very concerned about not being protected. My Regency is a Gillig and they do have replacement units.
