I have read earlier postings and there are some which talk about changing out the incandescent bulbs in the VDO gauges with LED bulbs. I have three questions: 1. If they work what are the LED part numbers. 2. Are they cooler? 3. Do they consume less energy? LED's do run cooler. The power draw is so little that the rheostat to adjust illumination will not function unless you increase circuit load by adding a bulb or two under the dash. I have not been able to locate white LEDs for VDO's. I have found LED replacements for the standard 194 bulbs though. There are a couple of those in the Barth Dash.
